How do I add my first item?

Hit Add item on the dashboard or on Inventory. Pick the product out of the catalog if it is already there, choose the exact size or printing, then put in what you paid and when you bought it. Add three of something and you get three separate units, so you can sell them one at a time.

Can I bring in inventory I already track somewhere else?

Yes. The CSV importer works out what your columns mean and shows you every row before anything is saved, so a spreadsheet or another tracker can come straight across. Give the costs, quantities and categories a proper look before you confirm.

What is the difference between Inventory and Collection?

Inventory is what you plan to sell. Collection is what you are keeping. Both count toward your portfolio total, but only inventory can go on a stock list or into a sale. Move an item between the two whenever you change your mind.

Can I put Navar on my phone?

Open Navar in your phone browser and use Add to Home Screen. It needs an https address to work: the camera will not turn on over plain http, so a local network address cannot scan.

Which barcodes can Navar read?

The camera reads the everyday ones printed on shoe boxes, clothing tags and sealed product: UPC-A, UPC-E, EAN-13, EAN-8, Code 128, Code 39 and ITF. With no camera around, typing the digits in does exactly the same thing.

Why will my camera not open?

Check the page is on https and that your browser has camera permission for it. Close anything else using the camera, reload, and try again. If it still will not start, type the code into the scanner instead. It runs the same lookup.

What happens when Navar has not seen a barcode before?

It says so and asks what you want to do with it. Choose to look the shoe up and you can search by the style code printed next to the barcode or just by name, pick the right one out of the results, and the market prices appear straight away. That also saves the code, so the next scan of that box goes right to prices. If you would rather skip the search, add the item by hand and the code is still saved. Either way, check the picture and the size before you save.

How do I fix an item’s size, cost or location?

Open the item from Inventory and edit its purchase details or where it is stored. Size and product identity are what the market price hangs off, so if the wrong product got picked, fix that rather than typing a manual price over the top of it.

Can I print labels for my own boxes?

Yes. A Navar label points at one exact unit rather than at a product, so scanning it opens that item’s page with its cost and location on it. It never adds a second copy.

Where do market prices come from?

It depends on the item. Sneakers and the things sold alongside them come from StockX, raw and sealed trading cards use TCGplayer data, and graded cards use completed eBay sales where they qualify. Anything none of those cover, you can price yourself.

How often do prices update?

There is a daily pass over anything that has gone stale, and item pages that support it have a button to fetch a fresh price on the spot. Every automatic price shows its source and the date it was taken, so you can tell whether it is current enough to act on.

Why does an item say it is valued at cost?

Because there is no price for that exact size or printing that Navar is willing to stand behind yet. Rather than guess, borrow a different size’s price, or call the item worthless, it shows what you paid as a floor.

Can I set my own price instead?

Yes. Use the manual price control on the item page when you know the market better than the feed does. It is labeled as yours and will not be overwritten until you ask for a fresh quote.

What do lowest ask and highest bid mean?

Lowest ask is the least a seller will currently let that exact size go for. Highest bid is the most a buyer is currently offering for it. They show you where the market sits. Neither is a promise of what yours will sell for, and neither is an offer from Navar.

How do I make a stock list and share it?

Create the list, choose how it prices things, add the exact units you want on it, then send it once the preview looks right. You get one link that stays accurate as stock is held or sold. What you paid and what you would make never show up on the buyer’s page.

Why can’t a buyer select anything on my list?

If the public page says holds are switched off, whoever runs this deployment has not turned on public holds. It is nothing in your account, and it is not about bot protection — that runs quietly in the background and never stops a real buyer from claiming or making an offer.

Does a hold take payment?

No. A hold asks you to set specific stock aside while you accept, counter or turn down the offer. Navar does not charge the buyer, hold anyone’s money, check who either of you are, or finish the sale.

What if two buyers pick the same pair?

Availability is checked again inside the hold itself, so only one of them can end up with a given unit. The other is told exactly which pick is gone, rather than both being told yes and one of them finding out later.

What can buyers see on a public list?

Your public seller name, the product, the size or printing, a picture, whether it is still available, and the list price. Set a username if you would rather the link did not carry your account’s display name. Buyers never see your email, what you paid, market value, profit, private notes or where the item is stored.

How do I record a sale?

Choose Record sale, pick the unit that sold, then enter the price, where it sold, the fees, shipping and the date. Navar marks that one unit sold and works the profit out from what it cost you and what the sale cost you.

How is profit worked out?

Realized profit is what the sale brought in, minus the item’s landed cost, minus the marketplace fee, payment fee and shipping you recorded against it. Costs you never entered make profit look better than it was, so Navar points out stock that is still missing one.

How do I export my inventory or sales?

Reports has CSV exports for both. Keep your own copies every so often, especially before a bulk edit or before closing an account.

Can I file Navar’s reports as my taxes?

They are bookkeeping help, built from the costs, dates and fees you typed in, and some of the figures are market estimates. Navar does not know your country, your business setup or your accounting method. Have an accountant look at the exports before anything gets filed.

How do I change my public username?

Settings, then Username under Profile. It is separate from the display name you see inside your own account, because a stock list link can be forwarded to anyone. Usernames get tidied up to a standard form and have to be unique.

How do I delete my account?

Export anything you want to keep first, then use Delete account at the bottom of Settings. Navar lists the inventory, sales and customer records that will go, and asks you to sign in again before it accepts.

What customer information does Navar keep?

Only what you type in for your own direct sales: a name, a way to reach them, shipping details and the conversation. Do not put card numbers, government IDs or anything else sensitive into notes.

How do I report a security problem?

Use the security contact this deployment publishes, and describe what you found without going into anyone else’s account or data. Never put passwords, sign-in codes or API keys in a support message.
